Rum Cookies
1 pound brown sugar
1/2 cup dark corn syrup
1 fresh coconut, grated
2 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 tablespoon rum or rum flavoring
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a cookie sheet.
Mix in order given. Drop by teaspoon onto prepared cookie sheet. Bake until golden brown. When slightly cool, loosen from cookie sheet.
Makes 100.
