Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
1 cup shortening
3/4 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 eggs
1/2 teaspoon black walnut flavoring
1 1/2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 cups oatmeal
1 (6 ounce) package chocolate chips
Drop by teaspoonsful onto a greased baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from oven when tops are lightly browned. They will look a little wet. Cookies turn out crispy.
